Ski Trip Expense Splitter

Cabin, lift tickets, gas, groceries, gear rentals. Ski trips have a lot of shared costs. Track every expense in one place and settle up with the fewest transfers at the end.

Common ski trip expenses

A typical ski weekend costs $500 to $1,500 per person. Here is what you will need to track.

Cabin or lodge

$200-$500/night

Split by room, by person, or evenly across the group.

Lift tickets

$80-$200/day

Track who bought multi-day passes and who bought singles.

Gas and tolls

$50-$150

The driver pays upfront. Nudj splits it across all riders.

Groceries and cooking

$100-$300

Shared meals at the cabin are cheaper than eating out every night.

Gear rentals

$40-$100/day

Some people bring their own. Only charge those who rented.

Lessons and extras

$80-$200

Private lessons, spa visits, tubing. Only split among those who participated.

The tricky parts of splitting a ski trip

Not everyone rents gear

Some friends bring their own skis. Nudj lets you split gear rental only among the people who rented.

Carpools have different riders

Two cars, different passengers. Split gas costs per car, not across the whole group.

Some people arrive late or leave early

If someone only stays two of three nights, assign them a proportional share of the cabin.

The designated driver

The DD does not drink but drove everyone to the bar. Exclude them from the bar tab but include them in gas.

Focus on the slopes, not the spreadsheet

Create a Circle for your ski trip. Everyone logs expenses on the go. Nudj handles the math.
